CRISIS BREWS IN DELTA APC AS OTEGA'S FACTION PLOTS SUSPENSION OF TOP CHIEFTAINS

There is imminent crisis brewing in the Delta stste chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC as reports indicate a breakdown of the peace accord reached by te various factions of the party brokered by Ibe Kachikwu, Honourable Minister of State, Petroleum Resources.

While the state chapter of the party is still smarting from the recently returned peace in the party, a grand plot that is capable of totally destroying the party has been uncovered, says a reliable source within the party's heirachy.



According to the impeccable source inside the party, "it was revealed that the 2015 Governorship candidate of the party, Olorogun Otega Emerhor as always, is the man pulling the strings and, in connivance with his partner; the state Deputy Chairman, Mr. Cyril Ogodo, has even written the letter but is finding a brick wall on their part with the refusal of many members of the State Working Committee (SWC), to endorse what they termed dirty move and blackmail".

According to the inside source, "Otega who is disappointed that President Buhari returned to Nigeria, alive and well, was reminded that he might be openly declaring a war against the Presidency, boasted that President Buhari has no power in APC internal politics and that all power lies with the National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun, whom he refers to as his family and Godfather".

"I must embarrass that talkative woman of Buhari's aide. She will learn the bitter lesson that I own Delta APC", he was reported to have retorted.

Also penciled down for suspension is a well-respected top leader of the party from Anioma, Chief Engr. Enuha.

The alleged plot to do away with both of them and other leaders is for daring to question how the NDDC projects in Delta state are being handled and executed by his cronies in the APC.

It would be recalled that a general stakeholders meeting of all APC pressure groups was held last Monday (11th Sept, 2017) to look into the issues of NDDC projects in the state but that move seems not to have gone down well with some persons within and outside APC in the state and are now collaborating with Olorogun Otega Emerhor as their arrow head in their resolve to silence all dissenting voices.

Although the state party chairman, Prophet Jones Erue who is on medical vacation abroad has issued a statement where he advised all party members to be calm with the promise to look into all the issues on his return, the source says he might not meet a United APC if the actors go ahead to forge the signatures of the relevant party officers to press down their plot.

"We all know that Olorogun Otega, a man lacking in confidence has often shown a complex towards Ms. Onochie, a strong woman he is unable to control. What Otega cannot control, Otega blackmails. Again, Otega is the sole beneficiary of a tumultuous APC in Delta State. He's not happy with the existing peace in the party", another source revealed.

Presently, how this will end, is yet to be seen, the sources quipped.
