WARRI MONARCH COMMENDS GOV OKOWA OVER PROMPT RESPONSE AFTER TANKER EXPLOSION AT UBEJI

Following the petroleum tanker explosion that occured thThursday evening at Ifie-Ubeji road, Warri South Local Government Area in Delta state, where no fewer than two (2) houses and several shops were gutted worth millions of naira in the inferno, there seems to be hope for affected victims.
Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri has assured victims that relief materials were underway to cushion the effect of the multi million naira destruction.
His Royal Highness gave the assurance Saturday September 9 when he visited Ubeji, scene of the diesel tanker explosion and commended Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for swiftly sending a delegation of the state government to ascertain the extent of damage caused by the blast.
His Majesty, while thanking God that no life was lost in the inferno, enjoined the contractor handling the Ubeji road expansion project to expedite work so as to avoid a reoccurrence of the unfortunate incident.
The highly respected Monarch commended Governor Okowa for re-awarding the Ubeji Road Project to another contractor, stressing that when completed, it will open up other Itsekiri communities.
On the entourage of the Olu of Warri to Ubeji were prominent Chiefs such as; Charles Ikomi, Ayirimi Emami and Akoma, the Olare-Aja of Ubeji Community.
