"WE ARE UNDENIABLY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN NIGERIA", Says Abdulrashid Musa Ujache
Honourable Ujache who is the CEO of Medirash Solutions Limited while fielding questions from NAIJ NEWS ALERT on the state of the nation, assuaged the minds of Nigerians that the country remains one indivisible entity.
"First and foremost I don't want to subscribe to the school of thought that the south-east has been pitched against the North. No. There's no basis for that analysis. And the more we promote that thought, the more we promote diverse kinds of unnecessary conflicts. Across every tribes, we are brothers and we are sisters. We are undeniably one", Honourable Abdulrashid Musa Ujache stated.
"Agreed, that the rate of joblessness in Nigeria today is alarming. And because of that, several youths across different parts of Nigeria, not only the south-east, feel there is no hope for tomorrow. The state of hopelessness for most Nigerian youths have never been this high. No electricity in our country. No good roads. Poor public education for our children. Housing for all isn't being attended to. Our healthcare system is not what it should be. And perhaps more".
But don't get me wrong... I wouldn't rule out the fact that the government today is trying all its best to provide what knows to do; working round the clock to fight corruption which is one of those things and maybe the most major, that has brought hopelessness to our people.
"We must give kudos to today's Government still", Honourable Ujache stressed.
And because again, the youths and some section of Nigeria are impatient, we tend to see different agitations and demands like we are seeing today. I know that the people of the south-east believe in our oneness as a people. We must continue to pray for the peace of our country, and not be carried away by the few hidden individuals whose ideological background are to sponsor strife and conflicts.
According to the Medirash Solutions CEO, "I believe most sincerely, that the moment we get our infrastructure working perfectly and at its highest optimum as it is in developed countries around the world, we would see very very very less and little of all these cries of imbalance in Nigeria".
"But, I want to also address the issues of the lackadaisical attitude of our youths to the future of this country. We must be creative and win the future for ourselves. We must not allow ourselves and our conscience to be bought by those whom have destroyed our collective heritage. What can I do for my brother and my sister and for my country? These should be our thoughts", he counselled.
"Entrepreneurship is one way to go. We must embrace it. And the Government should create that much needed atmosphere for us to succeed and excel as entrepreneurs, because we can achieve so much for our country and our future", the further advised.
Speaking on the call for more youths to be accorded elective positions of leadership in governance, Honourable Musa Ujache has this to say;
"Undeniably, the Nigerian youth needs more elective positions to be accorded them. There is no gainsaying that truism. That needs to be stated unequivocally. It's a deep truth".
"And today, it's seemingly becoming an overflogged narrative. The NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN bill for me and the motivational Nigerian youth is apt at this time", Ujache says.
"And besides, who says the elders are psychologically more matured than our youths? That would be an error of thought if you ask us", Ujache queried.
"As a nation, we have backtracked on our development in over 30 to 20 years. Our elders know this and they keep telling us about "the good old days". Obviously, they were youths at the time. They were youths as leaders. They tried to do their best as leaders and as youths. But overtime, as they became old, they seemed to lose the dynamism that made them excel as leaders".
"Of course, the leadership of our country in all these years have been the elders. Elders from generation to generation. To the best of my knowledge, they have been psychologically unprepared. Our country hasn't been better off under our elders. Everything has moved backwards. But there is hope with the innumerable strength of the exceptional Nigerian youth, he stated optimistically.
"Our youths have excelled all over the world. From sports to science, to academics, to creativity and more, we have been at the front our careers. And we can bring Nigeria to the front of economic prosperity. Yes we are a complex nation. And the truth is, it's only the youths of our country that understand this. And we know the way out", he noted.
