NO ROOM FOR FOR POOR SERVICES; MNDA BLACKLISTS CONTRACTOR

In its determination to ensure that all contractors under its supervision provide quality services in contracts awarded them, the Ministry of Niger Delta has blacklisted one of its contracting firms.

A statement signed by Marshal Gundu, Director of Press in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs revealed that, the contractor handling the maintenance repair of Ibillo Township and rural road in Edo North Senatorial District of Edo State, has been blacklisted.

In the press release, the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani said the blacklisting of the contractor was necessitated by poor quality of job it delivered in handling the maintenance and repair of rural and Ibillo Township road contract awarded to it by the Ministry.

It would be recalled that the Ministry, in March 2017 awarded Jamec West Africa Limited the contract for maintenance repair of township and rural road in the area.

However, in the spirit of fair hearing, the Ministry has also invited Hilton-Imports Limited to defend his company’s lack of performance.
