More Nigerians have continued to root and mobilize support for former Nigeria's Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamawa to run for President come 2019.

The group, under the aegis of Celebrities For Atiku Movement; CEFAM has called for an Atiku Presidency who they describe as the only option to salvage Nigeria from its present comatose state that the President Muhammadu Buhari led government has plunged it into.

In a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja and signed by the Convener, Mazi Dickson Nnamdi Iroegbu, it said "the implementation of the change policy thrust agenda of the APC led government in Nigeria since 2015 with keen interest vis-à-vis the politics that have resonated in our political space in recent times".

The statement which was captioned "ATIKU 2019: TIME UP FOR PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND THE NGO CALLED APC", CEFAM quoted thus:

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
Martin Luther King Jr."

According to the statement "CEFAM have watched the implementation of the change policy thrust agenda of the APC led government in Nigeria since 2015 with keen interest vis-à-vis the politics that have resonated in our political space in recent times".

"First, we must reinterate that the Buhari led administration is an abysmal failure and fallen short of the expectations of Nigerians by all know standards and indices of good governance in a democracy. We hold true to this conclusion to the extent that the President has not lived up to the oath of office administered on him by the Chief Justice of the Federation on May 29, 2015 and for the benefit of doubt here is text of oath so administered".

The statement quoted the Oath of Office as sworn by the orrsident

*I Muhammadu  Buhari do solemnly swear/affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria: that as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will discharge my duties to the best of my ability, faithfully and in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the law, and always in the interest of the sovereignty, integrity, solidarity, well-being and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that I will strive to preserve the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy contained in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that I will abide by the Code of Conduct contained in the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that in all circumstances, I will do right to all manner of people, according to law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will; that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of Nigeria".

"Under President Muhammadu Buhari, the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as imperfect as the document has been flagrantly violated by Mr. President himself, members of his cabinet and heads of key government institutions".

"The well being of Nigerians is being threatened by a failed anti corruption war that have pitched security apparatus of government against the themselves; the EFCC and DSS".

"The well being of Nigerians has been very recently, threatened by the activities of Fulani Herdsmen and their cattles who destroy, kill, rape, and maim Nigerians with impunity and immunity. Hundreds of Nigerians in Benue State have lost their lives. We have observed on our political space, that the umbrella organisations of the Fulani herdsmen namely Pastoral Resolve (PARE) and Miyetti Allah and their members including President Muhammadu Buhari; at least Mr. President admitted in his presidential election nomination forms filled and submitted to INEC in 2014 that he is a member of the Pastoral Resolve (PARE) an umbrella body of Fulani Herdsman whose National President ironically is Dr. Ahmed Joda, the then head of the Buhari Transition Committee (BTC) in 2015", the statement read.

"It is curious then that, in the face of a shameful debate in the 21st century about cattle's and ranches and preference for the well being of cows and grazing reserves or grazing colonies, instead of the well being of humans, Mr. President and Dr. Ahmed Joda have maintained a damning silence on the issues surrounding the anti-grazing bill in Benue", CEFAM lamented.

"One would have expected these umbrella bodies who have in the past mobilised over 5 Billion Naira in resources for establishing grazing reserves in Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Kogi, Nassarawa and Niger States to speak up with profound solutions to these problems, unfortunately they have remained silent and fallen for the obvious political undercurrents of the APC administration", CEFAM noted.

"The well being of Nigerians have been threatened by a bleak economic outlook in the face of non-budget implementation and lingering fuel crisis across the country".

According to CEFAM, "the well being of Nigerians is being threatened by prebendal politics exuding from the center at such a time as this when Nigerians are under pressure and wailing. If the news making round in town is true that Mr. President, after hosting some governors of the APC and 60 party faithfuls is seeking to run for a second term in office, we believe this is gross insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians who the APC politicians have obviously considered as voters who are only good for elections rather than as Nigerians deserving of standard living and this must stop now".

CEFAM is asking upon what scorecard is President Buhari seeking re-election for a second term in office in 2019? We challenge the APC to present it's scorecard to Nigerians and dare to carry out a National sensitization programs of her scorecard, the group queried.

"We challenge all self acclaimed politicians from the South East who are playing to the gallery ahead of 2019 to tell us what has changed since 2015 or forever hold their peace least we brand them as political nitwits".

CEFAM is a movement of patriotic Nigerians and social crusaders for a New Order. This we have done by x-raying the college of aspirants seeking to occupy the high office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019 including the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and we have reached the conclusion based on empirical facts and evidence, most especially on the issues that a true leader canvasses when he feels the pulse of the followers that only philosophers should be made kings, we have reached the conclusion that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON is a philosopher who canvasses and understands that RESTRUCTURING is at the very core of the solution to the very problems that confronts Nigeria as a nation", CEFAM noted.

"Like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, CEFAM believes that restructuring Nigeria right now is an idea whose time has come".

It is against this background that we call on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, to run for the presidency in 2019, because the time is up for President Muhammad Buhari and Non-government Organization (NGO) called APC.

"For the love of God and Country, I Mazi Dickson Nnamdi Iroegbu (DGN), on behalf of members of the Celebrities for Atiku Movement (CEFAM) join our voices with millions of Nigerians who are desperate for a New Order, millions caught in the line of fire, trapped in the Sahara desert and drowning in the Mediterranean sea. Millions who strongly believe that as President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON will proffer solutions to Nigeria's problem with his time tested campaign manifesto and a well articulated *Atiku Abubakar Policy Document for Nigeria* on Education, Employment Generation and Wealth Creation, Infrastructure and Power, Security, Niger Delta, South East and North East Reintegration", it emphasized.

"While we await your formal declaration to run in the days ahead, CEFAM has since adopted you, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR, GCON, (Waziri Adamawa), as our choice for President in the forth coming general elections in 2019  - which we have termed "Project Reunite Nigeria".

"We believe you have the blueprint to revive and revamp the comatose Nigerian economy. We trust that under your watch the Nigerian economy will boom again bringing to bear your wealth of experience in the private sector and business management. We believe that under your unity oriented leadership and political sagacity, wealth creation and good governance will be enthroned again in the polity. We believe that when a good man is on the throne, the citizens rejoice. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON is a good man".

"A man who has never been arrested, indicted or convicted for any form of corruption under the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Waziri ka anyi na eso", the statement concluded.
