Reports reaching NAIJ NEWS ALERT states that former Finance Minister and a leading statesman from the Southwest region, Chief Olu Falae's farm has been set ablaze by unidentified persons in Akure, Ondo state.



While some section have put the blame on the doorsteps of Fulani herdsmen who have been accused of causing chaos and bloodletting, others have attributed the incident to possible mischief makers.

Former Minister of Aviation, (State),  and prominent critic of the Buhari led APC administration, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in a series of tweets revealed that; "Fulani terrorists have just set Chief Olu Falae's entire farm in Ondo state on fire. The place is ablaze right now".

Fondly addressed as FFK, the former Minister and chieftain of the opposition party, the People's Democratic Party, PDP further stated in his Twitter message that, "Baba Falae is one of the most respected and reverred leaders of Afenifere and the Yoruba nation. Only two years ago the same Fulani terrorists kidnapped him and almost killed him".

"I ask Buhari and Miyetti Allah, does he deserve this? Is this fair?", he queried.

"How many more people have to die and how many more farms have to be destroyed before you will call these barbarians to order and bring them to book?", FFK asked.

Many Nigerians have continued to call on the federal government to be more proactive in the handling of the farmers/herders clash which is gradually snowballing out of control.

Prominent Nigerians have also cautioned that restraint should be adopted in the management of the crisis as some stakeholders suspect that unscrupulous elements are trying to cash into the unfortunate situation to their selfish purposes.

They therefore called on security agencies to live up to expectations by bringing culprits to book in order to forestall breakdown of law and order across the country.

Munir Gandu appealed to Nigerians to exercise restraints in their comments and reactions to happenings around them.

"There are some devious elements in the society whose sole aim in life is to take advantage of such crisis situations to enrich themselves and we must therefore, not fall into their game plan".

"No life is greater than the other and as such, we should not allow or support this unnecessary hatred that is being fanned by haters of Nigeria", Gandu appealed.
