The leadership of the PDP, lead by its National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus has reassured
that the members that he is committed to take the party to new heights.

Secondus, in a statement issued by his media office, is quoted as affirming his faith in the strength of the party even as efforts are on to appease all aggrieved leaders of the party.
The PDP National Chairman in the statement, reaffirmed his committment to the three 'Rs' which formed the major plank of his campaign.
"The National Chairman alongside other leaders will reform, rebuild and retake power for the party in 2018 and 2019", the statement read.
"The challenges are many but the Chairman is in full consultation with key stakeholders to address all outstanding issues".
While acknowldging that the PDP is passing through difficult times, the statement also notes that the National Chairman believes strongly that the various organs of the party are strong enough to resolve all knotty issues.
"The NEC, the Board of Trustees, the NWC, the Governors Forum, the Reconciliation Committee are all working to address ongoing challenges. As a team player, the chairman assures party members that reconciliation is uppermost in his agenda", the statement noted.
While no reference was made to the defection, the statement described the party chairman as a peace makes and consensus builder who will bend backward to accommodate all party interests.
"The Chairman is open to peaceful and inclusive leadership and he has confidence in the various ongoing efforts designed to stregthen the party ahead of forthcoming polls", the statement concluded.
It must be recalled that, after emerging from one of its most challenging period as a political party, stakeholders should rally around the leadership of Prince Uche Secondus, a man of extreme faith and trust in team work, to reposition the party ahead of 2019. The National Chairman of the PDP , according to key players in the party has the needed capacity to deliver on the reform agenda he has put in place ro reorganize and reposition the party for the greater good of the PDP and nigerians.
