SPORTS: "I Believe In Players With Potentials"...Garba Lawal, Real Stars Fc Chairman Says

Chairman of newly formed Real Stars Football Club of Kaduna, former international Football player, Garba Lawal (MON) has stated that, football is all about picking the best players that are ready to play and learn from the Technical crew.


Lawal who stated this while speaking with Yakubu Obande in Kaduna, noted that players who excel are those willing to follow instructions of the Technical crew and put in their best.

The ex-Super Eagles player says he believes in players that have potentials.

According to Garba Lawal, "as a matter of policy, he wants the best to succeed. As an ex-player, football is about players that have potentials and that can learn. I use myself as a case study; when I was growing up in the late 90s, I subjected myself to learning through the coaching system of my grassroots coach, Sani Nagogo known as Coach Ade and late Coach Abdullahi Bebe that brought me to limelight through the National Challenge Cup".

"Then, before I went to sign for Julius Berger Fc, Lagos. In football the key points are the talents, then contacts. But, these days, younger generations don't concentrate and they are always in a rush to prove their worth and that is where we do have challenges due to some players standard can not be compared to those on ground. And, with that those making the recommendations, they may not understand with the club policy that believes in picking the best players". 

The former Super Eagles midfielder further stated that, in running a football outfit, that players welfare is very paramount and is panacea to sports development.
