LOOTERS LIST: "RELEASE THE NAMES OF CORRUPT APC MEMBERS IF YOU WANT NIGERIANS TO TAKE YOU SERIOUS".... ONUESOKE CHALLENGES APC
Stop Misinforming Nigerians..... Onuesoke Tells Lai Mohammed
The Federal government has again, come under heavy scrutiny following the disclosure of the Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
The Minister, who has come under heavy and scathing criticism by political stakeholders and the public generally, has also being floored by a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Chief Sunny Onuesoke, a former Governorship aspirant in the Oil rich Delta state, gave the criticism in Kano state, Northwest Nigeria while reacting to what he described as the unceremonious looters list released on Friday and Sunday by the Federal Government.
According to Onuesoke, "it is unfortunate that we have such a barefaced liar as an Information Minister".
"Since they have no tangible achievement to hinge their campaign on in the coming elections, they have devised new ways of deceiving unsuspecting Nigerians, through cheap blackmail and propaganda", Onuesoke stated.
"Only in an APC government that you have such a lying Information Minister whose name is now widely referred to as Mr. Lie Mohammed across the globe".
"Don't be surprised if you see Sunny Onuesoke in the next batch of looters list", the PDP chieftain said.
"In a sane country, the likes of Lai Mohammed would have been wallowing somewhere in Kirikiri Prison for deceiving and manipulating millions of Nigerians prior to the 2015 elections into believing the many lies and propaganda which came out of their mouth", he said.
"Today, innocent Nigerians are bearing the brunt of those lies and propaganda in form of severe hardship, starvation, penury, loss of lives/loved ones and properties", he added.
Lai Mohammed had on Friday and Sunday released two set of a controversial list of some of those who have allegedly looted the nation’s treasury.
The names in the list revealed were mostly members of the main opposition party, PDP, who are currently being tried for corruption and financial crimes.
However, Chief Onuesoke has challenged Lai Mohammed and the APC-led Government to release the names of APC members in the government who also have corruption cases to answer, if Nigerians are to take them seriously with their so-called looters list.
"It is curious to know that the so-called looters-list contain only names of PDP members who have not been declared guilty by any court of law. This of course, is a great contravenment of the rule of law".
"I challenge them to release the names of APC members in this government with serious corruption allegations if Nigerians are to take them seriously with their so-called looters list", Onuesoke insisted.
"It is a deliberate attempt by the APC-led federal government to deceive Nigerians by intimidating and dehumanizing members of the main opposition party in order to tarnish the image of PDP, before the 2019 elections", he further asserted.
