AWARD WINNING AUTHOR SOLICITS FOR SUPPORT FOR KAJURU IDP's

Award winning author, Grace A. John-Ugwuanya has revealed her plans to hold an Outreach targeted at raising awareness for Internally Displaced Persons in Kajuru, Kaduna state in a bid to provide support and succour to displaced persons from the crises that has ravaged the local government council in the past weeks and months.

The academically talented author who stated this recently while speaking with the media in Kaduna, lamented the poor sanitary atmosphere and accommodation set up these unfortunate victims are compelled to live under, for no fault of theirs.

According to Grace Ugwuanya, "If Kaduna is a country, I would have been a citizen by now with the number of years I have lived there".

In a poetical speech, she said; "Crisis come and Crisis go. The lives of many get shaken by it. Then the Kajuru killings tied to the nefarious acts of armed herdsmen has created IDP camps in Kaduna, which I didn't hear of as a growing girl".

She lamented that the Adara Community Hall, Sabo - where most of the internally displaced persons are lodged, is not comfortable when compared to the safe haven of their destroyed homes".

"Our IDP "Glow with Grace" Outreach holds on Wednesday, 8th May, 2019 where clothes, shoes, foodstuffs, detergents, etc will be distributed to those affected".
