In spite of security measures put in place to combat issues of kidnapping, banditry and insurgency, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command has expressed his worries over recent developments.

To this end, Area Commanders and Divisional officers in the state have been directed to step up measures in curbing the threats.

This was the directive of the Kaduna state Commandant, Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma while addressing the officers recently on Thursday at the Command Headquarters in Kaduna.

According to Babangida Dutsinma, the action has become necessary to forestall reoccurrence of similar incidence this year.

He therefore, urged officers and men of the Command to strengthen synergy with sister agencies, traditional, religious institution and other people with the view to enhancing security of lives and properties.

The Commandant, in the statement which was signed by ASC Orndiir Terzungwe
State Public Relations Officer, PRO on behalf of the state Commandant, stressed the need for members of the public to collaborate with the Corps and other agencies to enable them deliver on their mandates.

He said the meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Officers was convened to review activities of the formations last year in order to develop achievable goals the current year. 

The State NSCDC boss specifically decried incidence of kidnapping and banditry, reiterating that renewed efforts must ensured to bring it to an end.
