HON. GODWIN ABU EDOH APPLAUDS GOV ORTOM

"His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom is the number one fan of the state owned club, especially his likeness for football and other Sports".

The member representing Agatu constituency in the Benue state House of Assembly, Hon Godwin Abu Edoh has expressed his happiness over the fatherly gesture shown by the Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom over the purchase of a branded new bus for the state owned club, Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi.

Lobi Stars, it will be recalled had lost its team bus in an auto crash when the club was returning back to its base in Makurdi after an away game in Akure, in Ondo state.

The sad incident had occurred few kilometers to Makurdi in a town called Naka.

However, the legislator who sees Governor Samuel Ortom as the number one fan of the state owned club, especially his likeness for football and other Sports, revealed that His Excellency did not waste time to replace the Bus for them.

"His Excellency has been very supportive of Lobi Stars since he assumed office as the Governor of our dear state. He is so passionate about the progress of the club. The present position of the club on the Nigeria Premier League, NPL and its good performance is due to the moral and financial supports from the state government”.

“The Governor has never turned his back in paying attention to the demands of the whole team, the management or in the running of the affairs of the club”, Edoh stated.

Honourable Godwin Abu Edoh, who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the Benue House of Assembly, was an Ex footballer in his youthful days.
