COVID-19: DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT REVEALS IDENTITY OF DEAD VICTIM
The Delta state government has revealed the identity of the second index case of the COVID-19 pandemic that has sent Nigerians and the global community into panic mode.
According to available information, the identity of the second index case who turned up dead at a hospital in Warri, the oil rich city and commercial capital of Delta state has been given as Engr. Awuta, a Business Manager with the Bendel Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC Warri Area Office.
The information released also shows that the deceased was also member of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has been battling with High Blood Pressure, HBP and an introvert. He reportedly died on Thursday after presenting himself late to medical experts on COVID-1919.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has visited the BEDC Office, located besides former Delta State Governor's Office Annex on Warri/Sapele Rd, near WSLG Secretariat.
Sources at the BEDC reveals that Staff names were written, for possible isolation and testing.
The deceased, until his demise resided at the Post Army Estate, David ejoors Barracks, Effurun.
Sources who are conversant with the deceased revealed to our correspondent that the late Engr. Awuta was the only surviving child of his late parents and that he was without a child himself.
