"Disregard Any Rumour On Ruga In Abia State.... It Is A Blatant Lie".... Ubani

"The Government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu had never, at any time, contemplated even the faintest idea of having anything to do with Ruga in the State".... Sir Ubani.

A top official in the Government of Abia state, Sir Don Ubani has called on Abians to always crosscheck whatever rumour they hear before believing it or, spreading it.

Sir Ubani, who is the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy Governor, gave this piece of advice in response to a reported demonstration by some women in Ogwe-Asa against an unfounded rumour that the Abia State Government intended establishing a RUGA settlement at the moribund Ogwe Golden Chicken, in Ukwa-West Local Government Area.

Ubani, in a statement he personally signed, made it categorically clear that the Government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu had never, at any time, contemplated even the faintest idea of having anything to do with Ruga in the State.

Sir Ubani unequivocally asserted that the rumour on establishment of Ruga at Ogwe-Asa or even any other part of the State is not only false but, full of mischief and deceit.

Besides, Sir Ubani said he had earlier before the said demonstration led a delegation of some Leaders of Asa, including some prominent indigenes of Ogwe, to the Commissioner for Agriculture who successfully dispelled the rumour and therefore, wondered why the women still embarked on the demonstration.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, therefore, called on the people  of Abia State in general and Asa people in particular to disregard any rumour on Ruga in the State, as it is a blatant lie.
