OPINION: ENEMIES WITHIN; NIGER DELTANS MUST RETURN WHAT THEY STOLE FROM NIGER DELTA NOW! By Frederick Odorige

This unimaginable corruption is happening within our Niger Delta. We agitated for the development of our region and got the Ministry of the Niger Delta and NDDC as a development agency. All the past and previous Ministers are Niger deltans. All the persons that have stolen money for roads, hospitals, water, security, scholarships, palliatives, etc, are all Niger deltans.

THE EXPOSURE of unimaginable corruption in NDDC had further strengthened my resolve not to think, act or support any action directed at dividing Nigeria. Our problems are within us.

This unimaginable corruption is happening within our Niger Delta. We agitated for the development of our region and got the Ministry of the Niger Delta and NDDC as a development agency. All the past and previous Ministers are Niger deltans. All the persons that have stolen money for roads, hospitals, water, security, scholarships, palliatives, etc, are all Niger deltans. The Senate committee chairpersons have been Niger deltans. All the activities and budgets that ought to have brought visible developments have been  hijacked by Niger deltans. Enemies within!

You will budget for fake contracts and pocket the money but you want ignorant and stupid people to join you to fight the federal government when you manufacturer your new stories. You even stole money to beef up security in the area. Tomorrow you will blame fulani herds men for killing your people when you have stolen all the resources that should have been used in paying and equiping vigilantes, installing CCTV cameras and arresting any foreign intruders like the murderous herdsmen and others. You are evil. The blood of our people is on your head!

All Niger deltans must rise up now and demand for justice. 

 You sold your only child to buy a keg of palm wine that you will eventually urinate before you die.

That is the same way our Niger delta  governors, Ministers, federal, state legislators and local government chairmen are stealing from us per second. Per second!!! 

Stop your noise about breaking Nigeria when you have not challenged the very leaders within your locality that is milking your people dry.

 Your former governor looted and you are silent as he continues to receive life pension! Among others, former governor of Delta state James Ibori receives N4.2 million monthly as pension for life because we are stupid! Even in death, the family of Alameisegha that stole from Bayelsans still receive allowances. We dey craze???

 

If Niger deltan Jonathan Goodluck had given us stable electricity within his 6 years in office, Buhari would not have won him in the 2015 elections. Buhari would not have been president today. Today's many evil would not have befallen our country. We are all guilty from our many years of silence to the robbers of our commonwealth. Each and everyone of us!

The Nigerian senate passed the law on life imprisonment for kidnapping. Excellent! They should go ahead and pass a law on death sentence for corruption. By the time the first 3 persons are publicly killed, the brains of 200 million Nigerians will automatically reset itself. Minimum should be life imprisonment without an option of fine. When Buhari was military head of state some persons were publicly executed for involving in drugs. Corruption is worse than drugs. The All Progressives Congress promised a separate court to try corruption cases in their manifesto. Nigerians must demand for such courts now. Cases brought before such courts must be concluded within 90 days. Why do you privately seize money from corrupt persons but never take them to court when those that stole cocoyam have been awaiting trial for 5 years?

 We either put our differences aside now and fight our common enemies or await new Pharoahs while some persons are being selfishly sponsored by the same politicians to break Nigeria, as a way of consciously distracting us from addressing and attacking our enemies within. If not, why is it that no state in Nigeria is as developed as the poorest state in Europe? You insult yourself when you refer to your oppressors as Honorables and Excellencies. Stop this senseless talk about 'our thief is not the only thief in Nigeria'. We are talking about the development of our region.

The time has finally come for us to stone those that have stolen from Niger delta as rightly recommended by Rotimi Amaechi. We must 'challenge' them whenever we see them abroad. With these common thieves walking freely, no Niger deltan deserves to be in prison today. The militants should also tell us why they are silent at this point.

What did Jonathan do for Niger delta? Stop the bullshit that he was controlled by Britain and Fulanis. Are the Niger deltans that are now stealing us into poverty forced to do so by your British- Fulani story? Stop looking for external persons to blame when our real enemies are within. Our people stole what should have given us strength.

Niger deltans must return what they stole from Niger delta and this must be our new fight henceforth. If you are ready for this battle, count me in 24/7. I cannot be fighting the misgovernance of the Federal government when our Niger delta is being slaughtered by our people. We either fight this collectively or remain silent forever!

I believe in one Nigeria without apology to anybody living, dead or in deep coma!!
