"We are meeting with Ohaneze Youths to deliberate on issues that border on “Unity and Peace Building”... Yoruba Youths Declare.

 “The apex body of all Yoruba youths; the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) vehemently condemn in its entirety, the dreadful trending viral video issued out by one Adeyinka Grandson (Pseudo Name) of YFF, calling for quit notice from Lagos and violent attacks against all good people of Igbo extraction in Nigeria”. 

Following a trending video in the social media by one Adeyinka Grandson who issued a Quit Order to all persons from the South east region, directing all such affected persons to leave the Southwestern states of Nigeria, a group, under the auspices of Yoruba Youths, has dissociated itself from the call.

Adeyinka Grandson, in his viral video online, had called for Igbos in Lagos state to immediately pack all of their belongings and leave the state, based on the Quit Notice, in order to avoid a premeditated and violent attack on them.

The Yoruba Youths noted that as a group, it is meeting with Ohaneze Youths to deliberate on issues that border on “Unity and Peace Building”.

According to the Yoruba Youths, “The apex body of all Yoruba youths; the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) vehemently condemn in its entirety, the dreadful trending viral video issued out by one Adeyinka Grandson (Pseudo Name) of YFF, calling for quit notice from Lagos and violent attacks against all good people of Igbo extraction in Nigeria”. 

“We therefore reiterate in strong terms that on one Nigeria we stand, precipitating the virtual meeting dated 24th October, 2020 between the leadership of Yoruba and Igbo youths led by Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan, President, Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide and Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide”.

“We hereby jointly agreed to build stronger bond more than ever before by calling all Yorubas and Igbos to continue to maintain peace and harmony in Nigeria”.

“We are using this medium call for the immediate arrest of Adeyinka Grandson by the Inspector General of Police through Interpol and United Kingdom (UK) law enforcement agencies”.

The Yoruba Youth Council, in its statement, stressed that, “Based on this premise, we implore all Nigerians in entire Yoruba land to go about their lawful duties and live without any fear of molestation and attacks, while we call on Nigerians to be in love, peace and harmony.
