LOKOJA/KOGI FED CONSTITUENTS GET FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH

Constituents in the Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency of Kogi state, have again, benefited from the empowerment programmes of its representative in the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly, Honourable Shaba Ibrahim.
Following the alarming concerns about the inability of many with eye-related ailments to afford the needed medical services, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, in partnership with some medical professionals, has embarked on a free medical outreach programme to attend to such concern within the Constituency.
This was the disclosure of Issa Itopa Lucky, a media aide of Hon. Shaba Ibrahim at a well attended event by members of the Lokoja/Kogi constituency.
According to Issa Lucky, "Hon. Shaba Ibrahim understands very well, the value of the eyes to the body, which is why he took it upon himself to partner with some professionals and embark on this free medical outreach programme, aimed at assisting his people".
The One-Week long programme, ended on Saturday, 21st November 2020 and had in attendance, over a thousand participants from both Lokoja and Kogi Local Government Areas.
Participants and beneficiaries of the free medical programme were issued medicated eye-glasses and drugs at the end of the tests, while many that have cataract and other critical ailments, were booked, ahead for surgery with all expenses paid for already by Hon. Shaba.
Among the beneficiaries were the elderly and the young, who had thronged the venue of the event to participate in the programme.
"Hon. Shaba", according to one of the participants of the Shaba Ibrahim Empowerment Programme, "continually brings home to the constituency and to the grassroots; dividends of democracy and quality representation".
