TRENDING: UMAHI'S AIDES ARRESTED

Several aides of Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi, a council chairman and a state lawmaker have been arrested following the hostilities that broke out yesterday, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Effium in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects were arrested on Sunday morning. They include the council chairman, Mr Clement Odah, and House of Assembly member, Chinedu Awo representing Ohaukwu North constituency.

Others arrested for their alleged involvement in the mayhem incqlude Coordinator of Effium Development Centre, Sunday Agbo, and his Effium South DC counterpart, Eucharia Ogwale, a former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and Special Assistant on Market Development, Mr Emmanuel Uzor, as well as Emmanuel Igwe, head of Park Development and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Mr Frank Onwe.
