ADIEU YINKA ODUMAKIN: A NATIONALIST IN HIS PRIME.....Comrade Eric Oluwole
"The entire Afenifere will miss a relentless voice, the entire Yoruba sons and daughters will miss a Generalissimo"...... Comrade Eric Oluwole.
The struggle for a greater Yoruba race and the nation at large has raised a brow and a concerned interest from many, even at the choice of sole interest and the magnanimity of selfish attainment, the point of remark had decisively differentiated ODUMAKIN from the choice of many but the choice of reality and self determination.
It was a rude shock as we lost a rare gem whose indefatigable character has laid a principled trademark, worthy of emulation to the younger world and a sincere attributes that has made him to live under the tutelage of fathers of the known Yoruba hemisphere.
Reasonably, Odumakin have his best at the fore front of the canvass for a democratic Nigeria, he sailed through brutality, oppression, intimidation and betrayal.
All even at that, he dignified his demands and raised many to the task.
His death makes a remark of the Godly assertions valued amidst the premise of nationalism and determination to wade into every marginalized thoughts against Yoruba race and such had singled him of his brilliant assertions and public reactions at every cost of his service.
Afenifere values his pointed thoughts which deem it fit to render his voice and give no trepidation in his virtuperations across all factors impeding the valued chain of the needed development of our dear nation.
What else could have laid more praises on this man, who gave more in compensation with nothing.
He has dignified himself and has put up a defined service to our dear nation which imperatively canvassed for the need to have his name immortalized across the states in the south west.
He should be remembered for his sincerity, doggedness, expostulations and his complete brilliance with ranged records of dutifulness and resourcefulness.
The entire Afenifere will miss a relentless voice, the entire Yoruba sons and daughters will miss a Generalissimo, Nigeria will always remember a social activist who had in many ways put Government in their tremendous toes to serve the masses.
I will never forget my relationship with him.
I want to commiserate with the leadership of Afenifere and especially the wife and co pilot of the activism tunnel, Okei Odumakin for his death as such would preserve a notion of revered honor to a wonderful ODUMAKIN.
In all, he had served and his good work shall be remembered even at his journey of no return.
Signed:
COMRADE ERIC OLUWOLE
