JOHN NANI’S AGHWEMUTUWEVWI POLITICAL FORUM SWEEPS THROUGH ETHIOPE WEST…. Inaugurates Ward Excos
The popularity and acceptance of the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum, a grassroots assemblage of young political leaders, under the leadership of Olorogun Barrister John Obukohwo Nani, the Aghwemutuwevwi of Idjerhe Kingdom, has continued to spread like a wildfire across the entire Ethiope West Local Government Council of Delta state.
The popularity and acceptance of the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum, a grassroots assemblage of young political leaders, under the leadership of Olorogun Barrister John Obukohwo Nani, the Aghwemutuwevwi 1 of Idjerhe Kingdom, has continued to spread like a wildfire across the entire Ethiope West Local Government Council of Delta state.
The Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum, APF, is a social political group under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, whose main objective is to promote and campaign for all PDP candidates, before, during and after election.
The group, determined to compliment the developmental strides and empowerment programmes of the delta state government, through actualization of its vision, under the leadership of its Grand Patron, Chief John Obukowho Nani, the Aghwemutuwevwi 1 of Idjerhe Kingdom, has begun her membership drive in all the Wards in Ethiope west LGA of Delta State and beyond.

In achieving a strong grassroots structure and recognition, the ‘Aghwemutuwevwi’ Political Forum, derived from the “Prosperity For All Deltans Agenda” of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration, has inaugurated the various elected and appointed Ward executives and representatives in the various wards of the Ethiope West Local Government Council.
The group, APF, so far, has successfully inaugurated Executives in Wards 1,2, 4 & 5 of the Council and this, according to political leaders and stakeholders, is the beginning of a new dawn in Jesse, Mosogar, Oghara and the entire political space in Delta state generally.
The inauguration of the Executives of the APF at the various Ward levels has continued to attract significant members of Aghwemutuwevwi from Ugbakele-Mosogar Ugbokpa- Mosogar, Otorho - Mosogar Oghareki - Oghara, Ogharefe - Oghara and Jesse Communities in Ethiope west LGA.
Prominent political stalwarts from Mosogar of the APF include Engr. (Dr.) Cross Ovie Edijana and Hon. Wellington Oyibo JP. Etc.
According to the duo, while addressing cross section of Mosogar people, stressed that there should be room for more political leaders to evolve in Mosogar as Mosogar kingdom belongs to everybody.
Engr Dr. Cross Ovie Edijana specifically enjoined the youths in Mosogar to embrace the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum and the leadership of Hon Barr. John Obukohwo Nani, the National Grand Patron of the APF whose leadership qualities and philanthropy has attracted positive growth to the communities in Ethiope West Local Government Council.
Honourable Wellington Oyibo JP, during one of the ceremonies, described the inauguration of the various Ward Executives as a political milestone and achievement.

Another stalwart of the APF, Hon Johnson Okpoh who expressed his surprise at the turnout by Ward 2 people at Ugbakele, Mosogar, extended the well wishes of his Principal, Chief Barr. John Obukohwo Nani to the newly inaugurated executives of Ward 2 and the people of Ugbakele for the wonderful reception accorded him, on behalf of his boss.
Hon. Okpoh charged the new Exco to remain focused and dedicated to the noble cause and programmes of the APF as the group is poised to create the needed leadership for the entire Ethiope West Local Government Council area.
Okpoh expressed the gratitude of their Principal and Grand Patron, Chief John Obukohwo Nani to the Governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for setting up formidable templates for the PDP family and government to flourish.
The National Grand patron of the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum, APF has ultimately, won the hearts of resident and inhabitants, especially youths of Ethiope West Local Government Council area due to his unrelenting infrastructural, human capital and developmental strides that cuts across the council and The Oil producing Communities, which is one of the mandate areas of the Delta State oil producing Area's Development Commission. In a related development, the Media Director of the group Comrade Monday Odaka described the Aghwemutuwevwi 1 of Idjerhe Kingdom as a quiet achiever whose leadership trait is devoid of sentiment and favoritism and as such, possesses all it takes to attain higher political positions in Delta State.
The high point of the event was the formal inauguration of Aghwemutuwevwi Ward 4 Executives under the headship of Mr Ejakpomehwe Okeke Godday as Coordinator.
Personalities that graced the event include, Engr Ochuko Gbeburu (National Coordinator), Hon Johnson Okpoh (Patron/ PA to EDFA DESOPADEC), Hon Blessing Akamugba, Chief Wellington Oyibo JP (SSA to Governor Okowa On Mobilisation), Engr Mathew Ugbune, (Director of Planning),
Others are; Comrade Gilbert Adogho, Hon Victor Oyibo (Councilor Ward 5), Hon M. O Sagboje (SA to EDFA DESOPADEC) and a host of others.
The inauguration event, which also held at the Civic Center, Mosogar, was a beehive of activities as the National Coordinator, Engr Ochuko Gbeburu. assisted at the event by Hon Johnson Okpoh and other top functionaries of the APF, such as Hon M.O Sagboje, Engr Mathew Ugbune, Mr Gilbert Adogho and I, conducted the programme in spite of an earlier issue concerning the venue of the event.
The leaders of the group commended their National Leader, Chief John Obukohwo Nani for creating a platform such as this, for Ethiope West grassroots faithfuls of the PDP to benefit from his Aghwemutuwevwi vision through constant youths/women empowerment programmes in Ethiope West LGA of Delta State.
The group which also used the medium to commend the Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for his immense support to their Grand Patron of the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum over his dream to bring the much needed dividend of Democracy to the down trodden grassroots people of Ethiope West LG, the Urhobo nation and Deltans at large.
The APF political train, in continuation of its inauguration of Executives Ward Four, also caused massive political realignment of forces especially with the cross carpeting of hundreds of members of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC shifting their support to the PDP during the visit to Ward Four of Ethiope West.
The Nani Aghwemutuwevwi PDP mobilization train, led by the Deputy National Coordinator, Comrade Blessing Akamugbe, on arrival at Edeje Irodo Jesse, to inaugurate the Ward Four Executives, saluted elders, women and youths of Edeje for the large turnout and warm reception given to the national body during the exercise.
Akamugbe, while addressing the crowd of PDP faithful, revealed that the EDFA believes in the policy of “monkey work, monkey chop” and not ‘monkey work Baboon chop”.
Other national executives of the Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum present in the train included Hon Johnson Okpoh (PA to EDFA DESOPADEC) National Patron, Hon M O Sagboje (SA to EDFA DESOPADEC) and Comrade Gilbert Adogho, National Auditor.
Others are; Comrade Osika (National PRO), Engr Mathew Ugbune (National Planning and Strategic Executive) and Comrade Monday Odaka (National Media Director).
The Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum, APF will expectedly, play a complimentary role in mobilizing PDP faithful towards victory in all elections in Ethiope West LGA is strategic to the forthcoming 2023 Governorship Election victory in the State.
Speaking during the event in Ward 5 Okoudibo, Jesse, Hon. Blessing Akamugbe and Hon. Johnson Okpoh; Deputy National Coordinator and the National Patron respectively, expressed their appreciations to Chief (Barr.) John Obukohwo Nani, the National Grand Patron/Leader of the group who is also the Executive Director, Finance and Administration DESOPADEC, for making resources available to mobilize Ethiope West indigenes for the PDP in other to reduce opposition to the barest minimum in the area towards achieving the stronger Delta and Stronger PDP Agenda.

Meanwhile, Executive Chairman of the Ethiope West Local Government Council, Honourable Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso has commended Chief Nani for his grassroots Mobilization strides on behalf of the PDP following the inauguration of Ward Five Executives of the APF.
Honourable Owoso, in his address, commended the Founder and Grand Patron of the Aghwemutuwevwi Movement for his sense of grassroots mobilization and reconciliatory move to enhance a more harmonious relationship amongst the PDP family in Ethiope West LG area and beyond.
