The Management of Kaduna State University has urged students, parents and the public, to disregard the news in the social media and other outlets regarding the review of tuition fees. 

A statement signed on behalf the institution's Management by its Spokesman, Adamu Nuhu Bargo and a copy made available this platform, disclosed that "the school management met with students of the University on Thursday, 22nd April, 2021 and enlightened to allay fears".

The statement further noted that, "Furthermore, Management wishes to state that though tuition fees would be reviewed upward with specific fees on each course but yet to be announced. The figures being spread in the social media are false". 

"The public will be informed on any new developments within the shortest", the statement concluded

However, in trying to get further clarifications on the issue, this medium placed a call to the Institution's spokesperson, Adamu Nuhu Bargo. 

In a brief telephone chat, the university spokesman debunked claims that some students have started paying the new fees as he stressed that such information would only have emanated from mischief makers.

Bargo disclosed that claims of such payments having been made, is not to the knowledge of the Institution or the School Management.

"It is not authentic and as much as the  management is concerned, it is fake. This is because, if there is anything like that, the School and the institution's Bursar will know if such payment has been made".

"We saw one of such false alarm but if you look at the claim, you will observe that there was no stamp of such having being approved on it. People, especially parents of students know that, on the payment of any money or monies into the school account, such payment slip bears the stamp "approved" on it. That transaction had on it, "transaction not successful".

"We think it is the work of mischief makers. A lot of people have asked me and we are trying to verify it. No single student has paid that amount into the coffers of the School", he said.
