BANDITS STRIKE ZAMFARA COLLEGE... Several Killed, Scores Of Students Abducted

Trending reports have again disclosed that unknown gunmen, suspected to be bandits have on Sunday, 15th August, 2021 attacked the popular College of Agriculture, Bakura, in Zamfara state.

According to the reports, the suspected bandits attacked the College late on Sunday night and abducted unspecified number of students.

The bandits, in the reports, who invaded the school premises shooting sporadically, were confronted by the security guards located inside the school but unfortunately, were overpowered before whisking the victims away.

Although, details of the incident remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report, the gun duel however resulted in the death of some security personnel

The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO for the Zamfara state Command, SP Muhammed Shehu has however confirmed the unfortunate incident but was unable to give details of the attack but stated that the Command would "issue a statement later in the incident".

Reacting to the unfortunate incident Senator Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, via his verified Twitter handle on Monday confirmed the incident.

"We woke up with a tragic news of mass abductions of students and staff at the college of Agriculture, Bakura, Zamfara State yesternight.

"The bandits also killed some security personnel. Another tragedy. Budget upon Budget for defence, where are our security apparatuses?”
