A handbag thief has been reportedly dispatched to the great beyond by an angry mob following his alleged snatching of a bag containing an unspecified amount of money.

The suspect, after snatching the bag, was given a hot chase after he allegedly stole a handbag containing an unspecified amount of money from a lady who came out from a bank after withdrawal at the ATM.

“According to a report by Daily Post, a mob has burnt a suspected robber to death in Ozoro community, headquarters of the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was learnt that the lady raised the alarm after she was robbed and, on him being apprehended, was beaten to a state of stupor before he was set ablaze. 

When contacted, DSP Bright Edafe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.
