DELTA STATE: FED. CONSTITUENTS DEMAND RETURN OF HON. BEN IGBAKPA.... Says Ben Rollands Igbakpa Is The Choice Of The People

"Any attempt to push through their agenda by raising another candidate in his place for selfish reasons will be result to negative prospects for Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency and the state generally.

"You do not change a good racing horse in middle of a race. Igbakpa is a reliable, strong and capable racing horse with greater potentials to deliver quality representation for the good people of Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly." 

A group of concerned deltans residing in the Ethiope East Local Government of the state under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State chapter, have called on the leaders of the party in Ethiope East/West not to frustrate the good developmental plans of their representative in the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Ben Rolland Ignakpa for the sake of "stomach infrastructure."

Accordingly, they warn that any attempt to push through their agenda by raising another candidate in his place for selfish reasons will be result to negative prospects for Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency and the state generally.

A statement issued and signed by Urhukpe Ovigue and Ogagavworia Macaulay, President and Secretary respectively, disclosed that, "Any plan to frustrate the return of Hon. Ben Rollands Igbakpa, come 2023 will not augur well for the Constituency and the PDP itself."

The duo made this known following the declaration of Hon. Igbakpa of his intentions to party executives from the Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency, where they also stressed that Hon. Igbakpa has indeed distinguished himself positively, as a good representative of his people.

"We believe in his capacity and capabilities to deliver and on that we stand. The good people of Ethiope East/West Federal constituency have never had this quality style of leadership and representation in the history of the Constituency."

"Ben Rollands Igbakpa is accessible and has brought about, a paradigm shift in the way political office and appointment should be handled and taken away, the notion that elected officials and appointees are above others in the society instead of being the representatives of their people."

"We are well aware of the fact that a legislator is responsible for making laws but Hon. Igbakpa has proven otherwise with the quality of Constituency projects he has attracted to the Constituency in the last four years of being the member representing Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency.

"We have absolute no reason to regret our decision in choosing to return him in 2023.

"His achievements and contributions in the Hallowed Chambers of the House of Representatives are enough proof of his capacity and we are satisfied with him.

"The party leadership should allow us, as electorates, party faithful and delegates to make our choices and decisions for who we want as our representative. 

"We want the return of Hon. Ben Rollands Igbakpa to the House of Representatives so that he can consolidate on his achievements for the good of the people of Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency and Delta State in general." The statement conluded.
