NEWS: Okowa To Preside Over South-South Governors Meeting In Port Harcourt, Jan 16-17.

Chairman of South-South Governors Forum and Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, is expected to preside over the first meeting of year 2022, in Port Harcourt on Sunday 16th and Monday 17th January.
The meeting widely publicised by the host Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike Esq, is likely to deliberate on the region's strategies in line with Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, unalloyed commitment to take Nigeria back from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The governors of the South-South states had in previous meetings declared their resolve to establish a regional security outfit, ensure full implementation of 13% derivation and to accelerate the region's economic development. Subsequently it ordered BRACED to work out strategies and modalities for deliberation and implementation.
APC party under the leadership of President Mohammadu Buhari, is widely believed to have mismanaged the nation's economy, abysmal performance in solving increased insecurity problems, and for mortgaging the future of Nigeria through unnecessary huge foreign debts and multifaceted overwhelming foreign loans.
Okowa and his brother Governors in the South-South geopolitical zone shall deliberate on issues that will facilitate socioeconomic development of the region, security matters, 2023 politics and may issue a communiqué and/or address the nation via the media after this all important meeting holding in the City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
