17 PERSONS DIE IN GHASTLY AUTO CRASH .... Many Burnt Beyond Recognition

It was a black Friday, 18 February, 2022 when Seventeen persons reportedly lost their lives in a ghastly automobile crash along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that the auto crash involved an articulated truck belonging to Dangote Group with the inscription its side, stating "Dangote Flour."
The Public Education Officer of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector, Florence Okpe, confirmed this to Channels Television.
Okpe, however, noted that the total number of people involved in the incident is yet to be ascertained as many got burnt beyond recognition.
According to her, there was a head-on collision between two vehicles which was a result of route violation and dangerous driving.
The Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, also noted that the crash was avoidable.
Umar, however, commiserated with families of the victims and enjoined them to contact FRSC Ogere for more information about the crash. (Adapted from a Channels TV report)
