A group, under the auspices of Movement For Greater Kaduna has called on the Executive Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa to, as a matter of urgency constitute a committee to start investigating, the Managing Director of NIMASA, Dr. Mohammed Bashir Jamoh over series of financial misappropriations.

In a statement to newsmen, the group’s Executive Director, Engr Aliyu M. Soba said it had become imperative for EFCC to kickstart investigating Jamoh because, the level of corruption currently going on at NIMASA is unprecedented and alarming.

He said that, recent expose revealed that Jamoh Is diverting NIMASA funds to his personal accounts.

"The sum of $9,557,312.50 was allegedly traced to his account in Fidelity account number 402*******836.

”Also another The sum of N1,505,890,450,000.67 also allegedly traced to his account in Fidelity account name Hamza Ibrahim Jamoh, number 402*******836, with BVN 22151837650 but with phone number of Dr Bashir Jamoh himself 0803*****410.

“Another account Access bank account 071******478 with lodgement of $9,557,312.50 was alleged to have traced to him.

Engr Soba added that Jamoh is busy awarding contracts arbitrarily to fronts and cronies. Including purchase of helicopters and maritime safety equipment at inflated cost.

“One of the questionable companies used to siphon monies is Talent Expertise International Limited registered by Bashir Yusuf Jamoh CAC RN:1488830 in clear violation of both Public Procurement Act 2007 and Code of Code Bureau’s provision.

“The company operates account with GT 042†*****514 being used to divert funds, money laundering and storage kickbacks among sundry other offences.”

Engr. Soba said these records and many more to come were parts of series of petitions at the EFCC disposal sent by good-spirited individuals working in the maritime industry in order to rescue NIMASA from financial insolvency.

The group lamented that all these primitive accumulation of wealth and abuse of office Jamo is currently doing is because he wants to buy the ticket for Kaduna state governor from Nasir el-Rufai who wants to sell the seat to the highest bidder, not minding the future of Kaduna finances.

The movement called on Kaduna people to rise up and save the state from plunging into the hands of medieval marcantilists whose sole life purpose is to mortgage the fortune of state for personal gains.
