"Nigeria had a better economy under PDP." Insists Onuesoke.

“Under PDP, you had a government that listened, had rule of law and you could protest without fear. The cost of living was way better, unemployment was far lesser, insecurity was contained to an area, electricity supply and charges were way better."

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Sunny Onuesoke can be best described as a man who saw nigeria's tomorrow, under the All Progressives Congress administration.

The former Delta State gubernatorial aspirant had in a newspaper article published in 2017, said that "Nigeria had a better economy under PDP."

According to Chief Onuesoke, in a publication carried by the Vanguard newspaper, had said that; “Under PDP, you had a government that listened, had rule of law and you could protest without fear. The cost of living was way better, unemployment was far lesser, insecurity was contained to an area, electricity supply and charges were way better.

“But today, you are dying yet can’t cry. You dare to cry, you end up behind bars. Egg of N20 now sells for N70-N80 naira. Indomie of N20 now sells for N80-N99. Pure water of N5 now sells for N20-N30. An electricity bill of N1, 500, is now N40, 000 with no light.”

Onuesoke had given this reaction in apparent repsonse to the outburst by Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, Transport Minister in the Buhari cabinet against former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Chief Onuesoke, who is highly concerned about the economic development and well-being of Nigeria and Nigerians, said Amaechi's commentary was obviously, an attempt to divert attention of Nigerians from the eineptitude and collosal failure of the Muhammadu Buhari's administration.

He queried the claims of the Buhari administration that the nation was broke and wondered how it was possible that the monies left behind by the Goodluck Jonathan could not sustain Nigerian for three weeks.

"It is embarrassing that a government that has ruled for two terms has continued to blame its predecessor. 

"When will the Buhari administration learn to concertrate on fulfilling the promises they made to Nigerians and stop the blame game? He asked?
