EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION: CG Fire Implores Nigerians To Be Safety Conscious

The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Engr. Jaji Olola Abdulganiyu MNSE, MIFire.E COREN has appealed to Nigerians to be safety conscious during the Eid-el-fitr celebration.

The CGF who congratulated Muslim faithfuls on the occasion marking the successful completion of fasting in the month of Ramadan, prayed that Allah accepts the supplications made during the Holy month.

Engr. Jaji, in a statement issued and signed on his behalf by ACF Abraham Paul, PRO Federal Fire Service, acknowledged that the Eid-el-fitr celebration is a period of series of fire related activities such as; cooking, appealed to Muslims and indeed Nigerians, to put in place safety measures such as the provision of fire  extinguishers, fire blankets, smoke detectors, et cetera in their homes and ensure electrical appliances are switched off when leaving home so as to prevent fire incidences.

The Controller General who has put all Federal Fire Service Commands on red alert, assured Nigerians that the Service is ready to respond to emergency calls during this period of festivities. 

He is also encouraging nigerians to have the Service emergency numbers (0803 200 3557) handy, so as to call immediately they notice any sign of fire.
