N150 BILLION LOAN: EDARIESE TACKLES TAIGA ... Stop Parading Yourself As CDHR President, You're Not In Position To Speak For Us.

The Delta State Chairman of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Comrade Elder (Chief) A. P. Edariese today asked one Comrade Prince Kehinde Taiga to stop parading himself as the National President of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, stressing that he is not in any position to speak for the Organization in any way.

This is contained in a statement signed by Comrade Elder (Chief) Edariese and made available to newsmen.

He also called on the relevant Security Agencies to arrest and prosecute Prince Kehinde Taiga for allegedly impersonating CDHR's National President and former two-term Edo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana. 

Comrade Elder (Chief) Edariese said, "Taiga or whatever he calls himself should stop parading himself as CDHR National President. He lacks the locus standi to speak for us. In fact, he cannot speak for us. I am by this, calling on the Police, Army, Navy, NSCDC, Immigration, Customs, DSS, Prison Officials,EFCC, ICPC and NBA to help us arrest this Taiga of a person with a view to stop him from further impersonating our National President, the erudite Lawyer, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana." 

Comrade Edariese also said Taiga should stop dragging the name of the CDHR into disrepute with his quest for power and greed for money.

He enjoined him, Taiga, to render account of his stewardship as CDHR Delta State Chairman where he held sway for four years without records and stop diverting attention of the general public to the issue of the #150bn (One Hundred and Fifty Billion Naira) only intended to be borrowed by the Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa led Delta State Government.

Comrade Elder (Chief) Edariese condemned the Delta State Governor, Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for trying to borrow that humongous amount of #150bn (One Hundredand Fifty Billion Naira) only as same is a ploy to mortgage the future of the Delta State people and plunge the State into serious debts which will be difficult to pay even for the next couple of years and use same to sponsor the candidate of his choice in the forthcoming party primary and general election.

Chief Elder Chief Edariese A. P., vehemently rejected the action and called on the designated Banks in the State never to release the fund to him at all.

Comrade Elder Chief Edariese equally lashed at the Delta State House of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for approving such type of borrowing at the twilight of the administration of Senator (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa saying that the speaker and the governor are birds of the same feather who are concerned only about their political future and not the interest of the citizens of Delta State they swore on Oath to serve.

According to Chief Edariese, "It is the height of wickedness for the Governor ask for such loan with intent to further plunge the State into more debts while he has already over impoverished the people of the State with his purposeless leadership. 

"The House of Assembly led by Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is the worst house of Assembly the State has ever had since 1999 when Nigeria embraced democracy as it is a complete appendage of the Executive arm of Government in the state.

For approving the loan for the  Governor, Senator (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the house has presented themselves as people who are just after themselves and not the masses in Delta State.

Comrade Elder Chief Edariese A. P., urged the people of Delta State to reject Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at the poll should he emerge as Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa's successor during the 2023 election.
