ABIODUN REACTS TO TINUBU'S TIRADE. .... "I Am Not A Political Emperor With Entitlement Mentality."

Gov. Dapo Abiodun

“I am not an emperor by any chance and this is not my family inheritance.” Abiodun.

“I am holding this position in trust for all the people of this state and I have vowed to be fair, just and equitable and this is the solemn agreement I made between the Almighty God and myself.”

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state, has reacted to comments that have since gone viral, by his political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that he made him, governor.

The Governor in a reaction that has gone viral and currently enjoying attention in the social media space, has retorted by saying that he is not a political emperor with entitlement mentality.

However, political pundits have however described his reaction as late in coming, owing to the fact that the comment by the "Lagos Landlord" which was on national television, has already trended.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, according to political analysts, must have been completely  humiliated by the comments from Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Abiodun, in his now trending reaction on Friday morning, stressed that;
“I am not an emperor by any chance and this is not my family inheritance.”

“I am holding this position in trust for all the people of this state and I have vowed to be fair, just and equitable and this is the solemn agreement I made between the Almighty God and myself.” He said.

Tinubu, in what many described as an unnecessary outburst at a gathering to express his dissatisfaction with President Muhammadu Buhari, had lashed out angrily while speaking to his supporters in Ogun state on Thursday, saying that he single handedly made Buhari's presidency a reality after having failed severally in previous attempts to be president.

He had, at that point, turned around to say in Yoruba language that without him, "this one sitting behind me (referring to Abiodun) couldn't have become Governor without his support."

“This one sitting behind me, Dapo, can he say he could have become a governor but for me?”

Many have however slammed the former Lagos State Governor for making such a statement as it concerns his associates describing it as "unpolitical, over ambitious and over reaching."

Tinubu, while speaking to delegates and supporters of the All Progressives Congress APC in Abeokuta, had insisted that it was his turn to be the next President of Nigeria.

Some members of the audience had expected an obviously humiliated Governor Dapo Abiodun to have responded but, in keeping his cool, attracted commendation.

Tinubu, it is recalled, also claimed credit for making Muhammadu Buhari president in 2015, as well as his political favours to Atiku Abubakar, Nuhu Ribadu and other personalities across the country.
