Spokesperson of Delta State campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. He noted that the perpetuators of the dastardly act in their mischievous calculations and political permutations knew that the PDP candidate will surely win the governorship election on Saturday March 18, and therefore decided to criminally plot against his life to avert Oborevwori's landslide victory at the polls.

Oghenesivbe, who is also a Justice of Peace (JP) in Delta State, relied on relevant sections of the Police Act which conferred powers on the State Commissioner of Police to protect life and property, urging the Delta CP to investigate the failed assassination attempt, and effectively police all INEC pilling units across the state on March 18, to avoid foreseeable voters intimidation, illegal interference with the work of INEC officials and vote buying by desperate politicians and agents of unpopular candidates.

Oghenesivbe thanked God for protecting the precious life of Sheriff Oborevwori from untimely death through the failed assassination attempt, quoting Isaiah chapter 54 verse 17wherein God said; "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

The Delta PDP Campaign Council spokesperson assured that Oborevwori will fulfil all electioneering campaign promises as encapsulated in his M.O.R.E manifesto aimed at advancing Delta State through Meaningful Development, Opportunity for all Deltans, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced peace and security.

He urged registered voters in the state to vote Sheriff Oborevwori and all House of Assembly Candidates of PDP on Saturday March 18.
