The appointment of the former Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola as the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy has been applauded and described as apt, following his achievements in turning the financial fortunes of the state around and towards lifting the burdens of the people.

Making this assertion, Mr. Vincent Akinbami, who was his Senior Special Assistant on Sport Development during the stint of Oyetola as governor, has come out to say that the world will see the Administrative capability of the former governor of Osun as he holds and begins another public life as a Minister.

According to him, "It was glaring Alhaji Oyetola managed Osun state like a company which he was hoping to take out of the woods.

"As a new Ministry on it own, a lot of initiatives to kick start its function are been put in place and, I strongly believe Oyetola will lay a good foundation.

"He is very meticulous, transparent and goal oriented in his dealings, he is the type of person we need in leadership positions. No wonder he won an Award of the Most Transparent Governor in Nigeria from the World Bank when he was Governor.

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a good choice placing Oyetola in the new ministry for a foundation to be laid not minding the fact that it was part of the Transport Ministry before.

Akinbami assured that Oyetola will not disappoint the President, Nigerians and those who believe in his leadership qualities.
