"Dedicate Yourselves To Your Studies So That You Will Become The real Leaders Of Tomorrow." Senator Hussain Tells Youths.

Distinguished Senator Babangida Hussain, representing Jigawa Northwest Senatorial District of Jigawa state is not relenting in his quest to fulfill his electoral promises to his people and put smiles on their faces.

As part of his electoral promises, Senator Hussain has commenced the provision of educational sponsorship to the good people of his senatorial district through the dedication his #10 million naira furniture allowance to scholarships for students in tertiary institutions in his zone.

The benefitting 274 students were selected from 137 wards of the 12 council areas of his senatorial zone making them to be about two candidates per ward.

The event, which took place on Monday at the Wali Education Foundation Center (WEFC) located in Ringim council area of the state, attracted the who-is-who within the political and educational class of the state.

The Foundation was established by the Senator to support students, especially young people, women, and orphans acquire education and entrepreneurial skills for life. 

In his speech during the handing over of the 10 million naira cheques to the Foundation, Senator Babangida Hussain said the support goes to science and technical students to create skills among youths in the zone.

He said that the scholarship covers not only science and technical skills but equally added that other studies are very important and would be included in the future.

Senator Babangida Hussain, who is also the Walin Kazaure, said his Foundation would continue to support agriculture, health, and other entrepreneurial skills to revamp the socio-economic standards of the people.

He called on the beneficiaries to dedicate themselves to their studies so that they will become the real leaders of tomorrow.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Salisu Umar, stated that the students were selected through a committee which screened students across all the communities in the senatorial district.

"Two students were selected from each of the 127 wards of the 12 LGAs of the senatorial district to benefit from the gesture.

"And this is just the beginning, others, including primary pupils, shall also benefit from a similar gesture," Umar assured.

The Executive Secretary, who commended the lawmaker for his foresight in supporting students in the constituency, urged the beneficiaries to study hard so as to complement the investment made on them by the politician.

In a related development, the Senator visited Birnin Kudu to sympathize with the community on the damage on the bridge of Masaya the road that links Birnin Kudu to Sara, Babaldu, Bamaina, Gwaram, and other neighboring communities with Bauchi and Plateau States respectively. 

He promised to join hands with his friends in the legislature in addressing the problems of the area adding that residents should exercise patience because succour is coming for them.
