CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY: Eze Slams Tony Okocha. .... Says as Leader of APC, Amaechi Could Not Have Directed Party Faithful to Vote Against Tinubu at the Poll

Rt. Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

.... Commends APC National Chairman for Cautioning Okocha and His Band of Conflict Entrepreneurs

Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has restated that former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi could not have ordered members and supporters of the APC in the state to vote against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the 2023 presidential election.

Eze stated this in reaction to a statement credited to one low-brained attention seeker, Tony Okocha, whose stock in trade is narrowed to politics of smear campaign, a line of politics he prefers for daily survival and which engagement earned him his current position as NDDC board member from whence he currently sustains and pays his bills.

In a statement made available to the media, the APC chieftain described the false claim peddled by Okocha as fictitious and in fact, a cocktail of lies consciously schemed against Amaechi by adversaries who see such engagement as necessary to please their paymasters who desire to continually see Amaechi presented in bad light before the APC leadership.

As a matter of fact, it should be noted for the umpteen time that the said Tony Okocha was never a member of the APC during the period leading to the election and as such, he has no insight of the workings and is grossly bereft of any knowledge of the efforts made by the leader of the party in the state as well as other individuals and groups to ensure the success of the party at the presidential poll.

Further, the APC chief commended the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for disappointing Wike’s conflict mercenaries - Tony Okocha and company who had gone to meet the national Chairman to further incite him and the national leadership of the party against some stakeholders of the party in Rivers State.

Recall that the notoriously controversial and valueless jobber, Tony Okocha led a delegation of his circle; majorly comprised of men of low pedigree, to the National Chairman on the orders of former Governor Wike, to seek his approval to proceed with their onslaught through campaigns of calumny against former Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi and the mainstream APC state executive in Rivers.

Okocha and his team were disappointed when Abdullahi Ganduje cautioned them not to heat up the polity and allow the leadership of the party at the central work out modalities to calm frayed nerves and resolve every issue affecting the party in the state before delving into constituting another party structure in the state.

“Overheating the system, some will go for litigation and then a vicious circle will come again. We don’t want too much analysis because they say too much analysis leads to paralysis.

"So give us chance do that we can consult, so that we can look at the constitution of the APC and then wait and see how we can put things in order," Ganduje admonished.

Eze called on Nigerians particularly the Journalists to disregard any statement about Rivers State APC from Tony Okocha and his likes, noting that Amaechi is not only a respected member of APC but a great leader of the party in the South-South region until such a time it becomes imperative for him to change party.

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze reiterated that Wike, Okocha or any member of their misguided circle is not and will not be in position to remove Amaechi from APC both as the leader of the party in the region and a key member notwithstanding their evil machinations.
