MOROCCO PLEDGES SUPPORT TO FIGHT POVERTY IN NIGERIA

Africa must strategically collaborate to eradicate poverty if the desire to genuinely provide quality and sustainable life for the people.

This was the assertion by the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu when she received in audience, the Ambassador of Morocco, His Excellency Ou Ali Tagma in her office. 

During the meeting described as very strategic, Dr. Betta Edu identified areas of collaboration between both countries. Other issues discussed at the meeting included youth empowerment and migration.

The Moroccan Ambassador, His Excellency Ou Ali Tagma, in his address, pledged their support to the provision of durable solutions to persons affected by humanitarian crises in Nigeria while working with Government to eradicate poverty. 

Ambassador Ou Ali Tagma said the King of Morocco, His Majesty, King Mohammed VI is popularly known as the "King for the poor" and he is open for collaborations with Nigeria to tackle issues around poverty.
