WHEN THE GOVERNMENT GOES INTO THE HANDS OF TRAITORS. By Amb. Olorogun Ochuko Patrick Otoba

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR
President
Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"To be sincere, the silence that we thought is golden sometimes is not. Instead, our silence breeds the boomerang of our actions." Amb Ochuko Patrick Otoba

"The assembly of deceitful persons in the name of political parties, cannot claim to represent anyone when the chips are down. They represent only themselves, and their interests."

"If certificates are not used as legal proof of graduation from any school in America, why did Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tender that certificate as proof of graduation to the INEC to qualify for the number one citizen?

Some time ago, rumors programmatically compiled from various online sources between 1999 and 2003, were the rumors of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's perjury, as alleged by Gani Fawehimi of blessed memory.

Nonetheless, the Eastern hog-nose snake, crawled away as it faked its death.

Twenty years later, the proverbial ugly  'Eastern hog-nose snake', has raised its ugly head again in 2023, alleged by Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.

For me, this Chicago State University saga that has befallen the Nigeria polity and citizens home and abroad, is a playback intentional error in our history.

I think the CSU saga resurfacing in 2023 was avoidable if only Nigerian politicians were truthful to themselves, irrespective of their political parties, to call a spade a spade.

First was the antecedent documents of the same man who was once a senate and Governor, a screened candidate before the primary regulations.

Second, was the election guidelines that were breached and interpreted otherwise by INEC (then and now).

This attitude in Nigerian politics is immoral. (It crawled away when Gani signaled, I am also convinced he will crawl away even if Abubakar Atiku should weep and wail.

My inner question is, why wait until the election is over before raising the certificate issue that has been there?

My convictions.

The fact that our politicians and their political parties operate mundane cultic practices, is what has gone wrong in our country, Nigeria.

The country has been invaded by malevolent creatures, and cultic politicians, have plunged the system into a moral conundrum. We are now left to make choices between two evils.

The politics and leadership of Nigeria are presently in the hands of these malevolent creatures with cultic practices.

They have infiltrated our homes, schools, religious fiber and our society with their negative and nefarious activities, and policies, in the name of political party.

Therefore, the effects on society are the current breakdown of law and order, violence, social instability, irresponsibility, and disruption of academic activities (This will take us to sleepless nights).

This avoidable saga is the first of its kind, and it's leading the whole sector of Nigeria to a magnanimous shame in the international community.

Like the proverbial cat among the pigeons, one man in one of the political parties was not screened in 1999. He was probably covered up and protected, by the same people who are now singing the forging song, even though they knew he was not eligible to be a senator and Governor. Now he is the number one citizen. (My question is why now is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar making it an international issue when he was part of the political party that aided and abet the same saga in 2003?

Like they say if two married women fight dirty in the market square, who bears the blunt?

Initially, I decided to keep silent for the sole reason that I did not wish to participate in the political quagmire of our country, Nigeria. However, on second thought, as an author, I stated in one of my books, and I quote:

"To be sincere, the silence that we thought is golden sometimes is not. Instead, our silence breeds the boomerang of our actions."

This avoidable saga of a forged document emanating from the Number-One citizen of Nigeria has taken over the media and the international community. The cat is out of the bag twice, history is distorted, and silence is no longer golden.

"There comes a time when silence is betrayal; our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Martin Luther King Jr.

Before writing this article, I had to go back to school again to comprehend the definition of the word 'forge'.

The English word; forged, faked, falsified, altered, and modified is the same. But when compared to my native dialect; I could not find the exact word for 'forged', but for falsified, Yes. It is simply expressed as deceit.

Since deceit is dubious, we fight against it in all ramifications. So, I asked myself these two questions:

1. Did Bola Ahmed Tinubu forge his certificate?

The answer seems to be 'NO' from learned and naivety that took to pens and media.

After reading so many articles, both in the past and present, it seems like there is a debate between for and against the word 'Forged'.

However, of the different interveners on social media, the one that struck me most is the article written by Farooq Kperogi. A graduate of two American universities and a professor at one.

He said that defining forgery by using limited Nigerian lenses to refract an American phenomenon that is beyond their experiential reality is wrong. According to him, Certificates are not used as legal proof of graduation from any school in America and therefore can’t be forged in the legal sense of the term.

I have a problem with the above submission.

"If certificates are not used as legal proof of graduation from any school in America, why did Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tender that certificate as proof of graduation to the INEC to qualify for the number one citizen?

So what do we make of the declaration by an oath of Mr. Caleb Westberg, the Registrar at CSU, that said; 'Mr. Tinubu’s certificate, dated June 22, 1979, and tendered to INEC on June 17, 2022, was not issued by the school and its administrators could, therefore, not be able to authenticate its source?

What a dilemma, everyone walks on eggshells.

This brings my mind to a single fact of depravity. If we keep defining and redefining a word according to either social, religious, or legal terms; even political parties also define the same word otherwise.

We no longer have the ultimate truth of forged, falsified, altered, and modified. Nevertheless, if there are rumors of war, deceit is not far off.

2. Is Bola Ahmed Tinubu deceitful?

The answer is definitely 'Yes'.

From records, the man Ahmed Bola Tinubu was alleged to have attended the University of Chicago between 1972 and 1976 and Chicago State University between 1977 and 1979. The petitioner then further alleged that Tinubu’s claim that he attended Government College, Ibadan was also false. He also picked holes in the governor’s claim in the INEC form that he was born in 1952, again by alleging that he filled in 1954 in the documents at his alma mater Chicago State University.

Again, he was from Lagos State, when he hails from Osun State. Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended Government College Lagos and graduated in 1970 when the school was established in 1974. His curriculum vitae indicated he completed his secondary school education at Richard Daley College also in Chicago in 1971. Another puzzle in the then Tinubu saga is that he was alleged to have an NYSC discharged certificate numbered OY/FORN/82/9106 issued in 1993.

So, who is responsible for ascertaining all these facts?

When I analyzed the rumor in terms of fate and personal actions, it meant that something governs all our lives: (Our actions). They have consequences; one action might cause something quite different to happen, which will nevertheless be linked in some way to our lives.

One can never get away with crime or immorality, no matter how you justify such actions to survive at the detriment of others.

No matter the self-protection, the covering up of bad to be accepted as good by political parties, or the act of declaring a person winner of an election with deceitful records unscreened to represent as either Governor or the number one citizen of a country. This is what I term an avoidable saga.

The spirit of a lie always seeks to cover itself up with another lie. It does not tell the truth, but another lie to protect itself.

It is like the self-protection techniques of the 'Moloch horridus', the abominable arid lizard that spits out blood from its eyes to protect itself.

So a multiplicity of lies can never lead any political party or INEC to the truth. A lie is simply a lie, and it remains so. But a truth is simply the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Go tell it to the; Judiciary of Nigeria, The United States, The People's Court, that:

"The assembly of deceitful persons in the name of political parties, cannot claim to represent anyone when the chips are down. They represent only themselves, and their interests."

The Jungle Prof.

Let's call a spade, a spade.
