AFONJA AJIBOLA BOWS OUT OF CIVIL SERVICE AS HEAD OF INFORMATION, INTERIOR MINISTRY

The retiring directors; Ajibola and Onoja with the Permanent Secretary, Ndayako at their cake cutting ceremony on Friday

"Engage yourselves physically and mentally in order to preoccupy yourselves with societal activities." Ndayako admonished retiring senior citizens.

"Urges the retirees to get back to their respective communities and engage in legitimate ventures to give back to the society."

Mr. Afonja Ajibola Fatai, a Deputy Director Press and Public Relations and Mr. Peter Onoja, Director Human Resources Management on Friday 26 January 2024, bowed out from Service 

Both men are retiring after clocking sixty years of age, and thirty five years of service respectively, which is the mandatory retirement conditions in the Nigerian Civil Service.

Permanent Secretary Ministry of Interior Dr. Aishatu Gogo Ndayako, on Friday organised a sent forth for the retiring Directors, admonished the senior citizens to engage themselves physically and mentally in order to preoccupy themselves with their societal activities.

The Permanent Secretary urged the retirees to get back to their respective communities and engage in legitimate ventures to give back to the society.

Dr. Gogo Ndayako stated that while in service, civil servants spent eighty percent of their time in office, adding that "but now you have time to look after selves."

Ndayako, in a statement issued and signed by Ibraheem Zakariyya, Chief Information Officer.

She told the retiring Directors that the valedictory session in your honour though small, is a gesture to appreciate them and their contributions to the Ministry.

A gift packaged TV plasma of various inches was given to the duo.

In attendance are Directors and staff of the Ministry graced the occasion .
