"We will ensure we pick more points away and keep a one percent clean record at home. We want to win the title and not just to get a continental ticket." Danlami, Katsina United Fc Chairman

The Chairman of Kastina United Football Club, Kabir Danlami has said that his team's target is not to only pick a continental ticket, but to win the Nigeria premier league tittle.

Speaking to journalists, Alhaji Kabir Dalanmi assured that, going into the second round, his team will ensure they pick more points while playing away and keep a 100% clean home record.

He said: "We will ensure we pick more points away and keep a one percent clean record at home. We want to win the title and not just to get a continental ticket.

He added that the new found form of Kastina United Fc towards the end of the first round of the NPFL was because the management focused on the welfare of the players and coaches which has helped to motivate the player.

In another development, the General Manager of the team, Alhaji Gadaffi Mohammed has said that football clubs are not always patient for developmental processes which is part of the problems facing the league as it has seen players and coaches moving often.

"When government puts pressure on management, the management in return will also put pressure on coaches. This does not give room for developmental process."

He gave exception to Remo Stars FC whom he said is owned by someone he respect so much in the person of Kunle  Soname.

"You can see Remo Stars is doing so well on the table; a private club owned by Kunle Soname. I am a fan of Kunle Soname. He has a developmental program for his team and they are doing well in the league. That is because it a privately owned team.

He praised the officiating in the league this season.

"So far, officiating has been good and we hope it will get better."
