TENSION BREWS IN UVWIE LGA AS SELECTION PROCESS IN COUNCILORSHIP ELECTION IS CHALLENGED Warns Of Imposition Of Candidates In Wards 10, 19 and 20

"There has been no selection process whatsoever by anyone as the party has also not conducted any primaries in the affected wards; namely wards 10, 19 and 20 councils in Uvwie Local Government Council in Delta state and therefore wondered where such ungodly and demonic information emanated from."

A political crisis is currently brewing in wards 10, 19 and 20 of the Uvwie Local government council in delta state following the ongoing propaganda by some persons vying for councillorship seats under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the above wards, to spread falsehood, misinformation and therefore, cause disaffection that may lead to insecurity and chaos.

Concerned stakeholders have called on the leadership of the PDP in the state and federal levels to immediately, warn the outgoing Councilor, Enawore Atase and any other, responsible for using social media, from spreading such false propaganda that “Uvwie Ward 10 Councilors Are Settled” as this wrong information is capable of causing disaffection leading to chaos and mayhem. There has been no selection process whatsoever by anyone as the party has also not conducted any primaries in the affected wards; namely wards 10, 19 and 20 councils in Uvwie Local Government Council in Delta state and therefore wondered where such ungodly and demonic information emanated from. 

"The outgoing Councilor for Ward 10, Enawore Atase should immediately be cautioned and possibly, sanctioned for making available, such distasteful propaganda capable of inciting, provoking members of the public including electorates." The stakeholders said.

The concerned stakeholders wondered “when and where was the ward primary conducted and how members of the party were not in the know of such an important exercise conducted?

“We are calling on the party leadership in Uvwie Local Government Area, the Delta state party chairman and the National office of the PDP to immediately step in so as to save the party and its loyal members from this unsavory act being perpetuated by mischievous and desperate elements bent on truncating democratic processes for their own selfish purposes.

“We are calling on His Excellency, Sir Francis Sheriff Oborevwori, the Peoples Governor, our able party chairman in Delta state, Chief Esiso, the Uvwie Local Government Area chairman of the PDP, Hon. Okoledo Efe and other leaders of goodwill to immediately step in before mischief makers cause further chaos within the PDP.

“We are law abiding citizens with deep concerns to serve the people in our various wards and will therefore, not allow persons with suspicious and dubious mindsets lacking in pedigree or substance, to reap where they have not sown. We have contributed immensely to the growth and success of our party; the PDP, the party of choice in our beloved delta state.

“Dirty political propaganda and misinformation is unacceptable as it capable of disenfranchising electorates in Wards 10, 19 and 20 respectively if not adequately checkmated.

The group of aspirants warned of the consequences of imposition and playing politics outside of the books, which is anti-people and could lead to a loss of confidence by the electorates and this, would be inimical to the chances of the PDP at the forthcoming polls.
