.... Good news is that, The Renewed Hope will fix this in the nearest possible time. 

In Nigeria, over 16 million people are directly affected by humanitarian crises and, the bold steps made by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to provide durable solutions for persons affected by humanitarian crises and its effects, have been far reaching in the remote areas of our dear country. 

More of this durable solutions and working with both local and international actors in the humanitarian space will be unveiled in the coming days. The Government is also highly committed to protecting humanitarian workers on the field and partnering with other MDAs to provide security as well as humanitarian support to both humanitarian workers and persons affected by humanitarian crises. 

Resettlement homes like those delivered in Zamfara in October 2023 and the ongoing shelter project for millions of displaced persons in Benue state are durable solutions to shelter issues faced by persons internally displaced through humanitarian crises. Food, education, relief materials, medical assistance, and even livelihood start-ups are part of interventions carefully mapped out to support persons of concern in the humanitarian space. 

Greater concerted effort need to be made by all players in the humanitarian space to achieve better results and reduce the poverty associated with people dislodged from their source of livelihoods and, most times, their ancestral homes. Good news is that, The Renewed Hope will fix this in the nearest possible time. 

We call for more support to Federal and State Governments to overcome this challenges, while counting on host communities and the security agencies to prioritize the protection of front-line humanitarian workers in Nigeria. 

We can solve this problem together if we embrace peace and be more humane in our interactions with others, not ruling out humanitarian crises caused by natural disasters.
