NHIA GIVES CLARIFICATION ON WEBSITE ..... Says The Website Is Active, Operational

A recent report by a news platform that purportedly and inaccurately claimed that website of the Nigeria Health Insurance Authority, NHIA had been inactive for several months, has been debunked by the Agency.

 

NHIA, in a statement issued and signed by the Head, Media and Public Relations Unit, Emmanuel Ononokpono said; "We wish to clarify that the NHIA’s official and fully operational website is https://www.nhia.gov.ng."

 

"The website referenced in the report belongs to the defunct National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), NHIA’s predecessor. That site is currently being decommissioned as part of the transition to the enhanced NHIA digital platform." The statement read.

 

Ononokpono, in the statement further disclosed that, "The NHIA’s current website, launched three months ago, is a significant upgrade designed to support our ongoing data migration efforts and provide an improved user experience for stakeholders.
