Industry, Trade and Investment Ministry Inaugurates ACTU Unit .... Says It Will Deepen Commitment to Ethical Governance

The Induction of the incoming members of the Anti-corruption Transparency Unit of FMITI (ACTU).

"The ACTU will promote discipline and integrity across the Ministry, upholding principles of ethical conduct and professionalism in service delivery. This move is expected to enhance FMITI's institutional reforms and contribute to a corruption-free environment." FMITI 

The Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), which aims at strengthening transparency, accountability, and integrity within the public service, has been inaugurated by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Abuja.

This initiative, as it aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, prioritizing ethical governance for national development, sees the Ministry taking a significant step towards a corruption-free environment with the ACTU inauguration. 

According to a statement signed by Adebayo Thomas, Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, states that "FMITI reaffirms its dedication to ethical standards and good governance. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission provides strategic guidance in combating corruption."

"The establishment of the ACTU is a cornerstone of the Federal Government's unwavering stance against corruption," said Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi, Permanent Secretary of FMITI. Dr. Musa Aliyu SAN, ICPC Chairman, commended the Ministry for its proactive step in inaugurating the ACTU, highlighting its critical role in upholding ethical standards.
