President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, for his commitment to delivering durable road infrastructure nationwide, describing him as one of the administration's most hardworking and dedicated ministers.

In a birthday message issued on Saturday by the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu lauded Umahi's passion for infrastructure development and his hands-on supervision of road and bridge projects across the country.

The President said the Minister's commitment to quality execution is reflected in roads and bridges designed to stand the test of time.

"Engineer Umahi has been one of my outstanding, hardworking ministers—passionate about the job and delivering durable roads and bridges that will last for about a century," Tinubu stated.

He also commended Umahi's style of leadership, noting that the former Ebonyi State governor regularly visits project sites rather than relying solely on reports from officials.

According to the President, the Minister's constant inspection of construction works has helped ensure strict compliance with approved specifications and improved project delivery.

Tinubu further recalled Umahi's record as a two-term governor of Ebonyi State between 2015 and 2023, describing his tenure as one marked by significant infrastructural transformation.

The President urged the Minister to sustain the momentum by accelerating road construction and rehabilitation projects in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at improving the quality of life for Nigerians and stimulating economic growth.

He also wished Umahi good health, renewed strength and continued success in serving the nation.
