One of the participants,
who spoke with Naij News Alert, said she owes so much gratitude to the
President of The Eye Opener Women and Youth Empowerment for all she has done
for her.
According to Rekiya Usman,
“Madam Margaret has touched the lives of so many in Makera here and I pray that
Allah continues to protect and help as she is helping us. She is a very good
woman with a large heart”, she said.
Mrs. Margaret Julius says
her dream for a better society filled with healthy and safer populace is what
drives her to give back to the society.
“If only every stakeholder
can contribute his/her own quota to the development of the people, the world
would be a better place”, she said.
The soft spoken Margaret
Julius appealed to the gathering to observe a healthy societal lifestyle which
is key to a healthy population.
According to the President
of the NGO, “the Eye Opener Women and Youth Empowerment foundation, started off
in 2009 as a pet project without external funding and I have single-handedly
borne all of the foundations’ needs and burdens and also, built it to what it
is today”.
Some of the resource
persons present educated the participants at the workshop on various ways that
women/youths in the society especially in the various communities can improve
upon the environmental challenges around them and make their society a better
place.
Also, one of the resource
persons took out time to educate the gathering on health and environmental
causes of maternal mortality which has become another new killer of women in
the society.
Present at the event were
the National Patron of The Eye Opener Women and Youth Empowerment, Rev.
Emmanuel Yahaya Hakimi of Makera, the representative of the
Division Police Officer of Makera, the representative of the Nigerian Red Cross, traditional rulers from the adjoining
communities in Kakuri, members of the Kaduna South Concerned stakeholders forum
and invited guests from across the state.
Waw keep it up with humanitarian services may God bless u and strength u. But the major problem we are facing now with high maternal mortality, is three delay model i.e
ReplyDelete1.Delay in decision Making, for instance especailly uneducated husband.
2.Delay in Transportation system to the health facility
3.Delay at the health facility not attending the client on time.
When we have solutions to this problems,it will drastically reduce.
