#KadunaDecides2019: El-Rufai's Victory Is An Act of God".... Comrade George Benjamin
"The emergence of Mallam Nasiru el-Rufai is an act of God and I call on all the good people of Kaduna State to receive that in Good fate".
Exactly a day after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Governor Nasiru Ahmed el-Rufai of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the winner of the gubernatorial election in Kaduna state, a youth advocate and Leader of the Gbagyi Sound Minds; a Community Based Organization for good governance and peaceful coexistence, has described the emergence of Gov. el-Rufai for the second term, "as an act of God".
Speaking to News men in a chat at the Office of the Gbagyi Sound Minds in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, leader of the group, Comrade George Benjamin said; "the emergence of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai is an act of God and I call on all the good people of Kaduna State to receive that in Good fate".
He further stated that politics is over and it is incumbent on the governor to unite the people by working with all competent people across political parties, ethnic and religious lines as, that is the number one guarantee for peace and development of the state at large.
Benjamin advised the Governor to form a Unity government if he is to consolidate on the fact that the electioneering period was violent free and peaceful which has made the elections, a win-win for all.
The Comrade also congratulated the elected members of the House of Assembly and urged them to listen to the voice of their people and give a helping hand to the Executive arm of government for the benefit of their people and the yet unborn and also, called on all community leaders and stakeholders to unite and set the agenda for the incoming political dispensation.
Acording to him, "we must hold our politicians accountable, as true stewards whom they are, the peoples interest should be catered for and considered at all time".
He also called on the government to be proactive in managing issues of insecurity and breakdown of law and order.
Condemning in strong terms the killings in Kajuru and other parts of the state, Benjamin prayed that peace and stability is restored back to our communities.
