REFURBISHED SUV’S: ALLEGATIONS ARE NOT ONLY FALSE BUT, MISCHIEVIOUS AND MISLEADING…… Says Activist
"Fifth columnists are trying to drag the state deep into crises
that will not augur well for us all and for selfish reasons known only to them,
are springing up allegations that are counterproductive, wicked and malicious
in nature".... Comrade Aminu Warns.
“Criticisms that are constructive in nature are a necessary
tool that helps guide any government but certainly, not lies and cheap
blackmail and dirty propaganda that cannot be substantiated”.
“Truth based on good conscience, must have
its take”…. Hon. YapaK
Following
allegations by an unidentified member of the Adamawa State Assembly wherein, he
accused Gov. Umar Fintiri of Adamawa of having purchased refurbished SUV
vehicles for members of the legislature, a public commentator and top critic has
debunked the reports, describing as not only false but also, misleading and mischievous.
The
rebuttal, according to Comrade Aminu Umar, has become necessary in order to
ensure that fifth columnists in the state do not continue in their quest to further
create chaos and cause the under development of the state which the Umar Fintiri
administration is poised to deliver.
Fifth
columnists are trying to drag the state deep into crises that will not augur
well for us all and for selfish reasons known only to them, are springing up allegations
that are counterproductive, wicked and malicious in nature.
“Fintiri
is determined to provide development to the state but with such baseless and
wicked accusations that have remained unfounded. These are capable of creating
setbacks and deny the state sustainable developmental policies and good governance
that will guide the administration”.
“Criticisms
that are constructive in nature are a necessary tool that helps guide any
government but certainly, not lies and cheap blackmail and dirty propaganda
that cannot be substantiated”, Aminu stressed.
The
allegations against the state governor by an unidentified member of the state
assembly, which was reported in an Online news platform, had it that, after
they (legislators) hurriedly approved the 9.9 billion naira loan for the
governor, he could now turn around to issue them with refurbished SUV’s.
However,
Comrade Aminu said it had become expedient in exposing the lie for purpose and
sake of good governance.
Comrade
Umar noted that only mischievous elements can produce such dangerous
accusations that would do the state no good especially with the wave of insurgency
that have caused the state much harm than good which the Assembly and the
Governor are trying to address.
While
the unidentified Assembly member had, insinuated that some of them “were
planning to return the alleged SUV’s as refurbished jeep cannot buy our
conscience or shut our mouth from asking questions regarding the where about
the 9.9 billion naira loan approved for the governor”, he failed to provide
evidential proof as the legitimacy or otherwise of his frivolous allegations.
Recall
that a prominent voice in the state, Honourable Abdullahi
Umar Yapak (APC), representing Vere Constituency in Fufore Local Government Area,
in the Adamawa State House of Assembly had reiterated that, “truth based on
good conscience, must have its take”.
Yapak, an opposition member in the Adamawa state House of
Assembly however believes that, in the same spirit of developing Adamawa; our
own state, will not be hypothetical to hide under the cover of anonymity.
“The Jeeps presented to my colleagues are 2019 brand new, not
refurbished”.
Asked to respond as regards the N9.9 billion loan being referred
to that as having been approved for building of 2,000 housing units to workers
across the state, disclosed that the said amount appropriated for the housing
units are still with the mortgage bank.
“The money is yet to be accessed by anybody. This is because
building is yet to start; arrangement is however ongoing. The anonymous
lawmaker is aware of it. So why is he asking for the whereabouts of the money”?
He quipped.
