KASU BEST GRADUATING MEDICAL STUDENT RECEIVES ONE MILLION NAIRA FROM HON. UMAR YAKUBU BARDE

As part of his duty in giving back to his constituency and also investing in human development, Hon. Umar Yakubu Barde (No Shaking) awarded the sum of 1million naira to the Best Graduating medical student of Kaduna State University.

This, according to a statement by Hon. Stephen Katung, PDP Youth Leader, Chikun Local Government, is to encourage hard work, dedication and commitment among students in higher institution of learning.

The best graduating student, Dr. Auta James Godswill who cleared almost nine (9) awards, considers the award (Hon. Umar Yakubu Barde Prize for Best Graduating Student in Surgery) as most significant and impacting for recognizing his hard work with such benevolence.

Dr. Godswill attributed his success to hard work and moral discipline, which he said his family inculcated in him and shaped the person he is today. He also promises to add value to life and contribute to the development of the state through his profession.

He said “While not denying the place of hard work in this achievement and privilege I enjoy today, I must admit that my background and experience in life contributed immensely to my success. I came from a home where I have always been encouraged to work hard for academic excellence.”

He also said “As a medical Doctor, this prize has motivated me more to be a better person and give out my best at all time. I also want to use this opportunity to thank the amiable House of Rep member, Rt. Hon. Umar Yakubu Barde for his kind gesture and I pray that God should continue to bless him abundantly.  I Also, pray he continues to represent the people of chikun/Kajuru at the green chambers. I am overwhelmed by this award and the recognition accrued to me by the Rt. Honorable. This is massive for me and my family because this award is the climax of a momentous occasion.”

The Honorable Rep member who was ably represented by the Chairman, Chikun Local Government, Hon. Samaila Liman Jafaar presented the prize to the best graduating student, Dr. Auta James Godswill.
