UDU ELDERS AND LEADERS FORUM CONDOLE GOV OKOWA
Prominent personalities Delta state under the aegis of UDU ELDERS AND LEADERS FORUM have commiserated with the Delta state Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the First family over the demise of the patriarch of the Okowa family, Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa.
In a condolence message signed by Olorogun Eddie Ono Sorhue and Barrister JEO Ishaka, the group described the demise of the Governor's father as a big loss to the entire state and Nigeria in general.
According to the UDU ELDERS AND LEADERS FORUM, "the passing of the patriarch of the Okowa dynasty, Pa Okowa is indeed a great loss to the people of Delta state as the state will miss his deep wealth of counsel and wisdom that has helped guide the governor in administering quality governance".
"Delta state has lost a father and a gem whose fatherly advice and counsel will be greatly missed", the statement read.
"The late Pa Okowa, who died at the ripe age of 88, is a retired teacher of teachers whose scholarly advice has been immeasurable to the developmental strides of our indefatigable governor and leader. This is indeed a great loss to the people of Delta state".
"We sympathize with our governor and his family for this great loss and pray that God Almighty grants his soul rest and give the First Family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".
"We, the entire members of UDU Leaders and Elders Forum therefore implore our Governor and the First Family to take solace in the fact that the Late Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa lived a life that is worthy of emulation".
"The late Sir Okowa had carved a niche for himself in the educational sector and his demise has left a large vaccum that will be difficult to fill".
"We pray that the Almighty grants his departed soul rest".
