The global practice, especially as it pertains to the growth and development of any nation or society, is hinged on enduring and sustainable peace, promoted and supported by all stakeholders.

Peace, which is the 'sine qua non' for growth and development of a state or nation, cannot be measured expect where all stakeholders join hands to ensure that there is thriving peace and security in the society.

According to Comrade Kpohraror Emmanuel, Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, the chances of Ughelli North Local Government Area to enjoy sustainable development, which is the prime focus of the Hon. Chief Godwin Adode led administration, is when all stakeholders join hands with the leadership of the council to deliver on its promises to the citizenry.

"Ughelli North Local Government Council has the potentialities of sustainable development and growth but, in actualizing these, the people need to embrace peace and that is not negotiable", Kpohraror stated.

"We are a people of peace and, in sustaining this, stakeholders and political leaders alike, must join hands with Hon. Chief Godwin Adode (JP) so that, Ughelli North can overcome the challenges of insecurity that of recent, bedeviled the area".

"The recent incidence of clashes between the people of Ekuigbo and Iwhreko that resulted in the loss of lives, is highly regrettable and unfortunate and it is our strong belief that we have overcome that challenge and hurdle as we pray against any further reoccurrence of such nature, ever again".

"Ughelli North Local Government Council plays host to different people of diverse tribes and religion including political affiliations but how we cohabit, in the long and short terms, determines our coexistence. We, as a people must decide our positive growth and development for us to be able to enjoy sustainable peace and development".

Kpohraror, therefore called on every resident, clergymen and non-residents of Ughelli North Local Government Area to support the Adode led administration in delivering quality governance, positive growth, sustainable development and peace to the good people of the communities under his leadership.

"Hon Chief Godwin Adode (JP) is a man with high standing principles, focused and determined in delivering on his electoral promises and it therefore behoves on everyone of us to support him. He did it in his first term as Executive Chairman and certainly, will not depart from consolidating on his achievements in ensuring that his legacies remain the benchmark of good and quality governance, transparent leadership, honesty and most especially, lead with the fear of God".
